Although domain names are not (yet) considered to be intellectual property rights in their own right, it is only a small step between trademark law and domain names.

Considering the fact that many changes are taking place at various levels (ICANN, domain name registries, ...), I have decided to devote a specific sub-section of this website to the crossroads between domain names and intellectual property rights, the implementation of Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs) and ICANN’s New gTLD Program.

Furthermore, various links to websites which contain interesting and good content are made available.
